Signed Blank Cheques Stolen By A Partner

Four years ago, I was partner in a firm. One of the partner stole signed blank cheques (signed foolishly by me and another good partner). The criminal partner is now missing. However, I am concerned that he might fraudulently use those cheques by getting them deposited from another person. The bank account of the firm has been dormant for more than two years now. We had notified the bank about the stolen cheques and to stop payment on them four years ago. There has not been any business in the firm for four years. I know I made stupid mistakes in this case, but now I want to do all that I can to minimize risk. I am considering giving two public notices in newspapers, one about stolen cheques and one about my retirement from the firm. I request your guidance on how to go about it, for example, the wordings of the notice, which newspapers to choose, and how many newspapers or ads, etc.
