I have given a cheque to the land owner to buy plot without the date on November 9th, 2020, the amount is 7.5 lakh 25% per cent of total plot value, next day itself I cancelled to buy a plot and asked him to give back given cheque, he said he will give but not giving. Currently, I have stopped payment for that cheque thru `net banking. How can I get back cheque from him and avoid any future legal issues?

Simple manage to serve a detailed legal notice served upon the Other Party demanding Your Cheque back. There is every possibility that your cheque is misutilised and you are prosecuted Under Negotiable Instruments Act putting you in hardships inextricably. Treat it most urgent.
