  • if the property is encestral you can claim through court if it's owner by parents you cannot claim... if in case it is not divided with any kind of documents like will gift.. in between the parents died at that time you have share in this property..

    if the property is ancestral then you have equal rights as your brother but if the property is self acquired then you cannot claim equal share

    Hi, You are liable to get equal share in the ancestral held by your parents, however your parents are free to distribute their self acquired property in any manner they wish, you cannot claim equal share in self acquired property of your parents as a matter of right.
