I have asked a similar question on my friend's property. He had got his property through will from his grandfather to his father. Now while changing the patta to his fathers name they had found there is an sqft mismatch. The sqft mentioned in will is slightly lesser by mistake than the actual. But the boundaries mentioned referring to others property is correct. It is probated in court (after his grandfather passed away). How can this be rectified?

Hi, You can get the deed rectified as the mistake was not intentional. You need to make a rectification deed and get it registered in the presence of your father along with the parent deed.
