In order to qualify as an OBC non-creamy layer candidate, the applicant's parents' annual income should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs. Salary and agricultural income are not to be considered as income for calculating annual income for creamy layer status. Eligibility Criteria for NC-OBC Candidates The NC-OBC candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Family income should not be more then 8 lakhs per annum. If a candidate belongs to the OBC-NC category, the respective class must be listed in the Government of India schedule. The class and income certificate that the candidate submits to IIM should be in the Government approved format.
