Hello Sir, I booked a wedding hall for a function on 13 June 2022 at Iskcon Mumbai, we cancelled the function due to unavoidable circumstances, their T&C mention that we can rebook the hall within one year but cannot refund/adjust the amount in case of change of hall(which seems to be ambiguous). We never asked for change of hall, but that hall itself is not available since they have made a cafe eatery there, they are now denying refund and they want me to adjust to a new hall which will be difficult for me to adjust(since new hall is on second floor, old one which I had booked is on ground floor and a bit smaller than the one I had booked) . What next steps can I take. Kindly help.

Issue them notice through lawyer and File Complain in Consumer Court and claim heavy compensation.

If they are not listening to you then you can always serve them a legal notice and in that notice you can write to stop all these harrassment and refund the amount along with compensation. You have to warn them that either give you a same sized wedding hall or face legal action which will be at their own risk. And if you wish to go legal then you can always forward a complaint in writing to the police station of your area. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
