In such cases only High Court can take cognizance of matter and take appropriate actions. Please give me Rank Five and follow me after reviewing my resume and book a consultation for further discussion and explanation if required.
Hi, You have to approach the police station in which the FIR has already been filed. As per the information given by you, the police has completed the investigation and has concluded this is a suicide case. You can go and provide them with the additional details of the facts in your knowledge and the police has the every right to conduct further investigation. The police will examine the evidentiary value of your statement and will then reach its own conclusion. The police can file supplementary chargesheet/report on the basis of the conclusion reached during their investigation. Kindly, note that there is no limitation period in a criminal case, but since FIR is already registered in Karnataka, you have to approach the same police station, you cannot file another complaint in Andhra Pradesh. Please rate me if you like my answer.
Dear Sir, If the incident took place in Karnataka then you cannot lodge complaint in Andhra Pradesh. However, he can go to High Court to convert suicide case into murder case if there is prima facie material. Please give me rank after viewing my details. Please call me for further assistance.
From the input provided by you, it appears that FIR was already registered and perhaps, the police has filed the Police Report showing the incident to be one of the case of suicide. It also appears that you have certain knowledge about the fact that your uncle's wife had committed murder in the said case. Also, that it is one year old case. Now, you wish to make a complaint regarding this. Since, FIR is already registered and investigation was taken up, however, the police report appears to have been filed (since you have not made it clear as such, I am assuming from the facts provided by you). You can still contact the Police and give the information which is in your knowledge. The Police has every right to conduct further investigation and to file the supplementary chargesheet/ report etc. You have not made it clear whether you are witness of the said incident or have some direct evidence rather than hearsay evidence or might be some circumstantial evidence. All these things would be taken into account. Regards. Ashok Chaitanya, Advocate New Delhi
