I have filed an FIR against a lady astrologer who took 4 lacs of amount from me but it's been a month nothing is happening and now I don't want to go ahead. I just wanted to know how will I withdraw an FIR and also that lady has filed a complaint against me for extortion case after I have done an FIR. Now the thing is I want to take my FIR back and after that how to stop that lady so that in future she will not bother us

Dear Dipika, There is no provision of withdrawing the FIR. Once the matter is settled or its proved that the allegations were wrong, FIR can only be quashed from High Court under S. 482 CrPC. Regards, Kajal Bhatia

Establish a rapport with the Complainant and get the matter compromised and settled finally that both the parties will withdraw the litigation.
