Opened Someone Else's Post Letter | Vkeel - Free Legal Advice

I received a post letter of a former roommate I accepted it hoping he would collect it. After receiving the letter i opened it. It was about credit card due notice and inform my former roommate about the letter he said that he cannot come and collect the letter so I contacted my local post office they said to return it to sender and so I did. Will there be any problem in future regarding this matter.
