Yes Any person having understanding and capable to answer and sound mind is a fit witness before the eyes of law.
Dear client it is totally valid and admisable. Section 1 18 does not specify the minimum or maximum age limit for a witness how ever there are few criteria that needs to be fulfilled in order to be a witness and a primary condition is soundness of mind.
According to 118 The Act does not lay down any rules about the minimum age of a witness therefore even a child can be a witness under this Act.
1. Yes, But the mental condition of the witness above 50 years should be sound mind in condition.
