Dear Sir, If you have received any order from the court, then you have to attend the court and respond.

if you have recieved any notice from the Court then must appear and file the reply to avoid any ex parts proceedings against you

yes it is mandatory to give reply on writ petition which fled against you r you can file another writ against him if it is flase allegations against you

If you have received the notice of the writ petition, it is mandatory for you to appear in the court either personally or through a competent advocate to present your case. Now the second part of your question is that the writ petition is based on fabricated and false storie, you have to , for that, place these facts on the basis of reasons before The Honorable Court that the writ petition is totally false and misconceived and you may ask for suitable compensation in your representation from the Honorable Court. But in any case you cannot ignore the court, if you ignore the court you will suffer a loss which may not be compensated in future. So you have to answer to the writ petition in the honourable Court in a proper suitable manner.

Mr. Dutta, Whenever any case is filed in the court, the court grants an opportunity to the other party to come and defend the matter. Since you know that it's a fake case or build up on stories, however the court doesn't know, therefore you need to file your representation and show to the court the real picture. Dear Sir, Simply saying false allegations at your end and without putting across in the Court is not proper. The Indian Legal System insist the respondent to appear and counter the case of petitioner otherwise there are chances of believing the case of petitioner and passing some adverse orders against you. If there is no substantial prayer against your interest you may remain absent. Further on the dismissal such WP you may seek compensation from the other side on the ground of malicious prosecution. It is advisable to attend the court and file your reply denying all the allegations made against you. Inspite of receiving notice, if you fail to attend the court and present your version, the case will be decided exparte and there is chance of drawing adverse inference against you and holding the allegations of the petitioner true and correct Thus, attend the court and deny the allegations in your reply
