My sister in law has recorded my wife's ( her own elder sister) mobile conversations. she has also mentioned this in the petition filed by her in the court of law. So how can we take actions against her. Recording Phone Conversation Without Permission Violates Right To Privacy Under Article 21: Chhattisgarh .High Court. So how can we lodge a complaint and can we approach court for this ? What legal remedies we can have for this? Can we register police complaint ? on what ground police can file FIR? On the basis of FIR can we go to court?

Dear client I am sorry to hear that but in this case you can reach out to your nearby police station and register an FIR under Section 25 of the Indian Telegraph Act 1885. It is a penal provision that prescribes a punishment, which includes punishment that may extend to three years, or fine, or both for the interception of telephone lines. Further you can also approxh cyber cell and report a complaint against it.

Dear Sir, You can approach the Cyber Police and get register FIR. But such evidences have no value before the Courts and they just ignore such evidences.
