My child is a Canadian citizen and currently resides in India. My wife and I are planning to divorce. I do not wish to change my child's citizenship status, while my wife has no intention of leaving India. During the divorce proceedings, can the Indian courts make decisions regarding custody of a Canadian citizen? Is it possible for them to grant custody to my wife? I am also concerned about the toxic influence of my wife's parents, whose own son has distanced himself from them due to their behavior. Additionally, I own property in India under my name.
