Hey, 1. According to Section 8(5) of the Hindu Marriage Act, Nonregistration of marriage would not come in the way of filing for a divorce, thus you can file for a divorce petition without the marriage being registered. 2. You can file for divorce under section*Phone*a) since your sister was being treated cruelly and that she cannot reasonably be expected to continue to live with them. 3. If the jewelry is inherited by your sister, then it will belong to her. You can also claim for the jewelry if it is given as a part of stridhan. If you find my answer helpful. Kindly rate. Thank you.
Dear Sir, Your sister can file multiple cases including divorce case on the ground of cruelty. She will get alimony and if you file complaint under Section 406 of IPC then she will get her parents jewelry. Please give me rank after viewing my details. Please call me for further assistance.
