Ask the employee to take the reasons for rejection in writing. Forward the sick leave application and the rejection grounds to the boss's seniors at all level demanding an investigation and reply for this bizarre conduct. Also forward all the details to the in-house Company Labor cell or Human Resource or Personnel Department asking for immediate investigation and solution to the matter. Also forward all the details to the in house company's grievance cell. If still there is inadequate response then compile all these documents and submissions and report to the Labor officer of the concerned Jurisdiction area. Take a help of local lawyer if there is any ambiguity with processing of the concern.
