Dear Sir, You have two options one is to approach Labor Commissioner and another is to get issue a legal notice. Please mark “LIKE” if satisfied by my answer.
Since the Laptop belongs to the Company itself which you cannot retain in an unauthorised manner. However, you can seek the legal remedy available Under the provisions of law. But prior to that get a detailed Representation served upon the Company explaining your claim and position. 1. you can serve the employer a legal notice through a lawyer to withdraw the termination notice, 2. if the needful is not done despite service of the legal notice, you can file a court case, 3. you can file a civil suit restraining the employer to execute the termination notice mentioning the same as illegal, biased, ahgaisnt the principal of natural justice & equity, 4. if terminated, you can go for filing a case for reinstating, 5. you can return the laptop under protest, 6. chat, call records, email, WhatsApp record, if relevant, can prove your case and are admissible as an evidence
first of all return the laptop and get the receipt then file a case for illigal termination
