My husband and I did court marriage in Nov 2020 because his parents were against our union. It was only after marriage I found he lied to me and that he had not even spoken to them about me because too scared of his parents. In the same month, he asked me to give him year's time to convince his parents for a social marriage, and I agreed. I moved to another city for a new job and he remained in Pune. One year later and after finding out many more lies he'd said, his parents finally agreed to have a social wedding. During wedding preparations, his folks had some expectations from my family which we couldn't fulfill, and the marriage has come to a standstill. My husband now says he will do whatever his parents tell him to do, even if that means divorcing me. I have tried convincing him, let's forget this social wedding drama and let's live together as we're already husband wife, but he refuses. He doesn't even receive my calls. What rights do I have as his legal wife.
