Change Of Data In Naval Pension Records

I am an Ex-Indian Naval person. Before discharge from service, I gave my wife particulars for service records which we were realized a bit wrong on her name and Date of birth when we were applying for her Passport. Her name in school/college certificates is totally messed with spell errors. In that confusion, we have anyhow given all family practicing data to the service records. In order to get a passport, we have gone through a lot of processes to correct those errors with a lawyer's help and obtained the birth certificate from the local municipal, marriage registration certificate, and passport. Now we wanted to change the same in-service records but the Naval HQ required a newspaper copy and the Govt of India Gazette copy. Actually, the lawyer who helped us to change everything previously was no more and we have not got any gazette copy or newspaper cuttings. Can we able to get the gazette copy or have to redo it again all. Please help. Thank you
