Dear Sir, That property is not considered as ancestral property since it was not coming from last four generations. It was considered as self acquired property of your father and his distribution of property is valid and only for litigations purpose you can challenge such deeds. In the recent case of Vineeta Sharma v. Rakesh Sharma, the Supreme Court ruled that daughters have an equal right in the parental property the same as the son, even if the father died before the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act 2005.
How much marriage expenses were there on your marriage and how much dowry you got ? but still you can claim in ancestor property.
Hello Ma'am Yes you could claim share in you father's property also the ancestral property. After the amendment to the hindu succession act in 2005 daughters are also considered as coparcener in the property. If your father has died without making any will in that case you could claim your share of property. Thanks. If you find this advice helpful please rate.
