One man has committed to marry me and all the arrangements were in place for the marriage from both side of our families. I helped him in his difficult times believing him that he will marry me. Now I got to know that he is no more interested in this marriage as he is liking other woman and willing to marry her. He cheated me, now I want to file a case on him, what all options I have.

Sexual intercourse on the false promise of marriage is also an offence under Section 417 of IPC which provides punishment for cheating. Thus, such consent shall not excuse the accused from the charges for the offence of rape under Section 375 of IPC. If you find this helpful, please rate us.
