Hello Sir/Ma'am Sure you could file a caveat application in tbe high court. A Caveat is a Notice given by a person, informing the Court that another person may file a suit or application against him and that the Court must give the Caveator (person filing the Caveat) a fair hearing before deciding any matter brought before it in the relevant case. Thanks Please rate if you find this advice helpful
Dear Sir, 16. It is also not possible to issue any mandamus or direction to the High Court to make a provision for registering caveat even in respect of proceedings under the Code of Criminal Procedure. As pointed out above, Cr.P.C. is enacted by the Parliament. It is for the Legislature to make such a provision in Cr.P.C. In any case, no mandamus of this nature can be issued as there is no vested right in the petitioner to claim such a provision or no legal obligation on the part of the High Court to frame such a rule. NOTE: The first answer of mine may kindly be ignored.
