Greetings! Yes you can challenge the same before the High Court and it is time taking process which may extend to 2-3 years. Regards
After appeal in the high court file an interim application against the order of maintenance. However you have to deposit the maintenance amount in the court till the interim petition of maintenance is decided. Court proceedings take time. So you have to keep patience.
Dear Sir, If you are aggrieved by judgment given by District Court then you can go in appeal to High Court. Normally, it will take 12-24 months and the maintenance amount may be reduced substantially since your wife is earning.
Time duration is not possible. Some may take more time or some may take less time.

The duration of a case can vary significantly depending on various factors, including the complexity of the case, the workload of the court, and the specific jurisdiction. While it's true that some cases in the district court may take several years to reach a judgment, the high court generally handles more complex and significant cases. As a result, the high court may have a longer timeline for reaching a judgment compared to the district court. However, the exact duration can still vary depending on the circumstances. If you are considering appealing your case to the high court, it's advisable to consult with a qualified attorney who can provide you with specific information and guidance based on your jurisdiction and the details of your case. They will be able to give you a better understanding of the potential timeline involved in appealing your case to the high court.

As compared to district courts the High Court is quicker in pronouncing its judgments. As far as your case is concerned you should file an appeal before the High Court with all the evidence you have regarding your wife's salary if she is legally not disclosing it in her income affidavit. You also need to submit the order sheet of the case where the district court magistrate ordered you to give maintenance to your wife. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
