My husband and mother in law are co-owners in the flat where 4 of us live (MIL,FIL, My husb and I). She and her husband wants the house fully to be on their name.and hence are making life of me and my husband a hell !
MIL committed Physical, Verbal and Mental torture .
Now fearing that I will go to Police/court against her , she blatantly started lying that I am a liar and a threat to her life so she needs protection against me. I went to Police after this, but instead of FIR they just wrote an "NC" she says that she going to implicate me in false case so I go jail. I am really scared cos :-a) her husband is a lawyer (taxation), b) she had already done all this drill of taking protection etc. earlier too against her husband (who was earlier estranged)
I have the following questions:-
1. What is the best advice/soln in above. Can my MIL really frame me in a false case.
2.What is NC. Is it of some use as a proof.
3. Why did police not do FIR despite of physical violence. How do I do a proper FIR resulting in her arrest cos I dont want her to self harm and implicate me
4.I dont want to just give in and move to rent because a) they were succed in their intentions to throw us out b) Its very expensive to be on rent in Mumbai , at the same time if I opt to go thru the court way I dont have enough funds to afford lawyers and all associated expenses. IS there a way where in a girl can get a govt . appointed / NGO lawyer to fight her case against in laws..
6.What is a Protection Officer .., how can I get one so that my mother doesnt harm me or herself to defame me.
7. know if mumbai has CAW women's Cell . is itsame as going thru Police or different.. AND Lastly which option is better for me , proceeding with A) Police, B) Women Cell OR c)Court ..
