Hello Ma'am If a person die without a will, the probate court will refer to local “intestate succession” laws to decide who will receive the property. The order of succession usually prioritizes the surviving spouse or domestic partner, followed by the children, then parents, siblings, and extended family members. Succession of Hindu family is dealt with Hindu Succession act. If you find this advice helpful please rate. Thanks.
