TC From School Without Dad's Consent

My wife is trying to get separated from me and live with her parents even though I want to give our marriage a 2nd chance. My daughters(10 yrs and 3yrs) are studying in one of the top schools in my city for which I struggled quite a lot to get admission into. However my wife has forcibly taken them away to her native place last month when I was away from India for work. And she has got an admission in a not-so-good school at her parents' place through some local influence. And she was trying to get a TC from my kids' current school. I called up the Principal and asked him not to give a TC without my consent. Is the school legally bound to issue a TC if one of the parents ask for it. Or can they demand that both parents' sign the request for TC. P.S: My kids are currently at my wife's parents place and my wife works in a different city Thanks in advance for any advice and help
