After getting advice with many lawyers for my question- https://www.vkeel.com/question/in-laws-took-all-money-and-jewelry-after-my-husband-passed-away-6107, I sent a legal notice to my in-laws but they refused to return anything. I have tried to do FIR since Sep 2020, for 9 months police was sending me from one police station to other, initially police asked me to go court & now they are saying as it is in court we cannot do anything. At two centers I had counselling & in-laws attended at only one center, they said they want to go court only. 1st center counselor asked police to do required action & 2nd center report is awaiting. Recently referred to Women Police station & TI said that no police station is allowed to write FIR for 406 also she refuses to give me any receipt/written reference. So I want to understand. 1. If Domestic violence case is filled in family court and trying to get my things with police help "Is legally possible or not". 2. How long court will take in my case.

Dear Sir, You have two options one to approach High Court and get a direction to the Police. Secondly, file private complaint under Section 200 of Cr.P.C and get it referred to the Police under Section*Phone*of Cr.P.C for the said offences. Please give me rank after viewing my details. Hi, Yes, you can legally represent yourself in the petition. Although in the present time with the domestic violence case you have to prove that you are innocent. The duration of the case will depend from time to time depending on the client's adjustment. Thank you.

If police is not helping then the only place to get remedy is court under DV. You will get what you are entitled.
