I made a deposit with a company in 2018 for the business proposal but after making a deposit no one contacted me from the company yet. the contact number also was not in use. I browsed and got their mail and raised a query regarding that. Now they say it's a non-refundable deposit and now they show a receipt for the amount paid. Before that i have not signed any agreement with them and no one informed me about non-refundable nature of it. The amount was paid by online transfer only. What shall I do now to get back my amount?

Procure all the Documents pertaining to the payment to the Company from the Bank. Then get a detailed legal notice served upon the company demanding Your invested money alongwith Insterest and Costs and inconvenience and mental harrasment. Then approach the Court for the refund.
