My husband’s current H1B I-797 will expire on July 21, 2022. His company plans to apply for an H1B extension of stay petition (premium processing). The anticipated beginning date of the new I-797 will be July 22, 2022, and will probably expire on September 30, 2024. This will be the first time I am applying for any US visa. My H4 VAC appointment interview is scheduled for May 2, 2022, and a regular in-person interview is scheduled for May 4, 2022. Please find below my queries for which I require your assistance. Query-1: My husband has an H1B stamping scheduled for April 20, 2022. I believe that he might not get his passport with the new H1B stamping before my interview on May 2. My husband’s last H1B stamping expired in August 2021. Is it required for me to show his H1B stamping during my H4 interview. Dear client, To grant the H4 visa the person must go through an interview process before approval of the same. It is not necessary to show the H1B stamp during the interview, but he necessary document to prove the family member of H1B visa holder as well as the document of the H1B holder extension of visa period request certificate.
