if you have already filled application under general category, you can not claim reservation at later stage.
Caste never change , if marriage inter caste then born child's caste same of Father's caste and not the mother caste,so caste depends upon father.
In inter caste marriage fathers caste is taken as spouses caste, and not otherwise.
You can not claim the caste status of your mother but only of your father. Better reconcile with your fate and not manipulate things. That will land you in trouble.
If you are born in any reserved category as per the Constitution and to a father of the same cast you are entitled for reservation. There are procedures for change of caste in the records. For purposes of enjoying reservations you can not change your caste. There are such clear rulings by SC in this regard.
