About Unclaimed Land

I live in a land that is unclaimed from my birth. I am 24 years old now, my father tells me, many years ago my grandpa gave rent to owner in the form of water filling to their house, but after that owner settled in Mumbai and never returned again, from my childhood I never saw any claimant, for this land, but now, some of my neighbors have their eye on this land. They continuously annoyance to us because of this land, and we also tried to search for landowner but we failed, but now, I want to go to another home then neighbors will seizure that land, I am unable to make a decision on it. Please tell what to do.
