House Rent Payment In Lockdown | Vkeel - Free Legal Advice

I am living in a rented house in Raipur Chhattisgarh. I was to vacate the house by the end of last month's march. Regarding this, I had informed to the landlord and I had paid the rent up to the month of March. But due to the Covid-19 Lockdown, I could not vacate the house and neither can shift till 3rd May. I requested the Landlord to give me some concession for the current month as I could not move due to the lockdown only. Is my request genuine or I will have to pay the full rent till the lockdown is over.

Hope the Government will notify some relief.. it is yet to announced.. as of now landlords cannot demand rent or vacate the recent, whether it is payable later is the issue.. Wait for the Govt order.. for further assistance plz book for consultation..

Dear Sir, You should not pay anything and many State also waived off the rent for this lock down period. Ask the land lord to approach the court if he want rent from you. You must be more stronger other wise these so called landlords may harass you. He is not understanding your problem.
