I am a Hindu and the person that I want to marry is muslim and divorced.He divorced his ex wife 4 years ago by pronouncing talaq in 3 months and then sent a legal notice that mention talaq dates with meher. Now we want to get married without changing our religions. I think we have one way which is special marriage. But for special marriage I think you need to submit divorce document and as i told we have the legal notice only. so as he is muslim what divorce document does he need to submit to get married under the Special Marriage Act or legal notice is enough.

Hello Ma'am It would be better if you could ask him to get a legal divorce from her wife only after that you must get married. Otherwise it would not be considered a valid marriage. Thanks Please rate if you find this advice helpful
