If you believe that you have contributed all the funds for the purchase of a property jointly owned with another person, but they are refusing to transfer the property to you, there are a few steps you can consider: Review the Legal Documentation: Examine any legal documents related to the purchase, such as the sales agreement, property deed, or any other relevant contracts. Understand the terms and conditions outlined in these documents, particularly regarding ownership rights and obligations. Consult with a Real Estate Lawyer: Seek advice from a qualified real estate lawyer who can provide you with guidance based on the specific laws and regulations applicable to your jurisdiction. They can help you understand your legal rights, obligations, and potential courses of action. Mediation or Negotiation: If you wish to resolve the matter amicably, you may consider mediation or negotiation. This involves engaging in a discussion with the other party, potentially with the assistance of a mediator or a neutral third party, to find a mutually agreeable solution. Legal Action: If all else fails and you believe you have a strong case, you may choose to take legal action. Your lawyer can guide you on the appropriate legal remedies available to you, such as filing a lawsuit to enforce your ownership rights or seeking a court order for the transfer of the property. Remember, the specific steps and options available to you may vary depending on the laws and regulations of your jurisdiction. It's crucial to consult with a real estate lawyer who can provide you with personalized advice based on your situation and the applicable legal framework.

First of all rather than going legally you should serve him a legal notice and in that notice you must write that either return my money back or face legal action which will be at your own risk. After that if he fails to give you satisfactory reply then you can anytime send a complaint regarding your grievances in writing to the police station of your area. And if you wish to go legal then you can always file a recovery suit in the court. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
