Recover Money From Legal Heir

I gave 7 lakhs money to my very close friend for his personal needs for interest of 18% interest per annum on 2018. Last 2 years he did not pay interest and principal amount as well. Whenever I ask, he is saying I'll arrange and give but days only passing not paid single rupee till today. I have his blank cheque only with me. He is not having any property on his name. He is senior citizen, his daughter is having property(under home loan) on her name. Now her daughter is saying since 1 year, she will sell her house and pay but nothing happened and she is not ready to give promisery note or cheque on her name. If I file a criminal/cheating case on him, will it be possible to recover money from her daughter. Pls suggest
