I had taken a tour with one private travel partner but the tour got canceled due to natural calamities like floods in that area. Now the travel partner is not returning the proper refund of the whole trip. He is just giving us 10% of the total amount when the trip didn't happen only. He had not given the payment receipt also of that trip or he does not have any cancellation policies, privacy policies, or terms and conditions nothing. I understand he can cut 10% or 20% of the total amount for tax and other things and at least return us the 80% rest because the trip did not happen. What should I do? Can I file this in consumer court? Please suggest.

Please share the name of the travel agency through which you booked your trip and the payment receipt. In cases of natural calamities, every travel agency has different norms of deductions and refund. At this juncture, we need to check their registered address, e-mails sent you for confirmation of the trip or payment or any communications exchanged between both of you. And before filing a case, it is advisable for you to send a legal notice because consumer court won't entertain a case without following the mandate of sending a legal notice.
