Bombay High Court said ‘Strike’ of buses ‘illegal’, ordered to withdraw strike immediately

The Bombay High Court has issued an order to withdraw the strike by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), calling it ‘illegal’ and immediately withdraw it with immediate effect. The employees of MSRTC were on strike from four days (October 16) demanding wage hikes. Transport Minister Diwakar Rao and MSRTC officials had tried to negotiate with the unions who failed.

After interacting with the union, Raote had said that the union officials had demanded the highest salary increase so far which could not be considered by the MSRTC. He also asked the employees to end the strike.

People are facing great difficulty due to the strike of buses, people are resorting to trains for traveling, due to which the railway administration has to put spare boxes in some trains.

The union of employees is responsible for the MSRTC administration responsible for the hassle of getting passengers. An employee while talking to the media said that he had given strike notice 40 days ago. At the same time, the MSRTC administration says that after receiving the notice 40 days ago the union was continuously meeting, but in the meanwhile, the employees decided to go on strike.
