The Rajasthan High Court has also given a major ruling after just one day after the Madras High Court ordered a four-week ban on the new notification of the Central Government regarding purchase and purchase of cattle. The Rajasthan High Court has said in its decision in the well-known Hingonia Gaushala case, that the state government should make efforts to declare cow as a national animal by the Central Government. In addition, the provision of life imprisonment for the Gokshis is included in the law.

The Rajasthan High Court has given its verdict seven years after the famous Hingonia Gaushala case. The special thing is that Chief Justice Mahesh Chand Sharma, who has heard the petition filed on behalf of the Jaago Janta Society, gave his last verdict on Wednesday on his retirement day. It has been said in the verdict that the Chief Secretary and advocate general counsel should take action against the central government for declaring the cow as a national animal. The High Court has directed to make a committee on this matter. Giving the example of Nepal, the court said that in the new constitution the cow has been declared a national animal.

The Rajasthan High Court has said in the judgment that ACB will investigate corruption in Hingonia Gaushala. Court has ordered ADJ to prepare report on Gaushala every three months. The court directed the officers including UDH secretary and corporation commissioner to visit Gaushala once a month.

In this case, the court has asked the forest department to put 5000 plants every year in cowshed. At the same time, the authorities have been instructed that the orders given earlier have to be followed in compliance with the same. Presently Rajasthan has a provision of three years imprisonment for cow-slaughter under the Rajasthan Animal Husbandry Act (Prohibition of Prohibition and Regulation of Export) Act.
