The Supreme Court has approved the new rules for Jalabhishek in the Mahakal temple located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Now under the new rules, the RO water for Mahakal’s Jalabhishek will be used. The Supreme Court has accepted the proposal of the temple committee to preserve the Shivling of the Mahakal temple and has ordered that Shivling will be covered with cloth before the Bharta Aarti and after the burning of Jalabhishek at 5 o’clock the sanctum will be dried. According to the order of the court, arrangements will be made to keep the Garbhagriha dry for Shivaling, and Khandsari will be used instead of putting powdered sugar powder in Shivling.
