The Rajasthan High Court has issued an important verdict on Friday. The High Court said that now for the change of religion, permission from the district collector will be taken. According to the verdict, only after the permission of the district collector religion can be converted. The court has made this decision to change the religion of the Hindu woman and get married to a Muslim youth. The court also issued guidelines for this to ten points.

The High Court gave the order on a petition filed by Jodhpur’s young woman, Payal Singhvi, to marry with the Muslim youth, becoming Aarifa. The young woman’s brother filed a petition on the matter. At the same time, Advocate general Shiv Kumar Vyas, in addition to the government, urged for issuing a guide line regarding conversion of religion.

During the hearing, the Bench of Justice Gopalakrishna Vyas and Justice Virendra Kumar Mathur said in his decision that no religion can be changed by giving an oath only, the permission of the District Collector will be necessary. As long as the state government does not make any law about the change of religion, this direction of the High Court will be effective only. During the debate, Shiv Kumar Vyas told the court that the government had made a bill about conversion of religion, it has been sent to the President for approval
