SI held for ‘cheating’ woman advocate

A sub-inspector of the Special Protection Force (SPF) working at the Telangana Secretariat was arrested by the Musheerabad police for allegedly cheating an advocate by promising to marry her.

The SI was identified as Adinarayana, 34. For the past few years, Adinarayana had been living with a 39-year-old advocate in Musheerabad. Recently, Adinarayana refused to marry her and the victim lodged a complaint with police. “Based on the complaint, we have registered a case under sections 417, 420, 376 and 506 of the IPC against Adinarayana and arrested him on Wednesday,” Musheerabad inspector Mohan Kumar said.
