If the holder of a liquor license dies, another adult can continue to operate the business for up to one month if they are:  the licensee’s spouse or de facto partner  a family member of a deceased licensee  Someone who carries on business on behalf of the family. To save the license fee and security deposit, you could get a STAY order from the High Court for the liquor store.
