Dear Gurjit, The Premature retirement is not a matter of right it's all depend on the discretion of the appropriate authority, but the same can be granted on ground of Genuine reasons ( Disability or medical) and rejected due to insufficient personnel strength or exigency of service. For your kind information, even Defence ministry has put on hold the previous submissions of the premature retirement till June 30, 2020 due to Covid 19. You can submit the same to the concerned officer of your battalion/office. If he/it reject the same you can challenge by moving an application to the central govt( Defence Ministry) , who is the highest authority to decide the same. If you are aggrevied by the decision of the central govt then you can challenge the same by making application to the Armed Forces tribunal.
