I am a trainee at a dealer point. And during my trainee period it is mentioned in my joining letter that I cannot resign without serving my notice period of 60 days. If I do so, then it would be a violation of agreement. My question on this matter is what is the violation of agreement? And what are the legal consequences if I do not serve my notice period.

They will charge for 2 months salary (or higher if stated in appointment order) for proper relieving.. besides they can blacklist u (as in IT sector) and refuse to give experience/service certificate.. if any certificates are given to them as security, they will refuse to give..
