    sir in this case as the offence is committed against a women hence as per section 77 A of IT act the case cannot be compounded, hence it has to go to trial, and in evidence your wife can deny the allegations made by her against you and further cross examine the other witnesses, and when complainant has turned hostile the case will result in acquittal. so appear and go through the trial and get acquitted.
