If father or mother both are sc or backward class but father is the guardian of child then all caste see with father religion, caste or surname.

Child will be SC. However Delhi High Court held that if the mother belongs to a particular tribe or community, the child can inherit the caste if established if he/she was brought up by the mother and faced all the disadvantages of that community.
