How can I get justice for prolonged emotional and psychological abuse and mental harassment by known person online? I had filed a written police complaint for which I have not received any response yet as the police is not interested in this case. The accused is an officer in the army and hence, they don't want to proceed further. The police is misbehaving and questioning my character so that I don't pursue this case. I want to take a legal action, preferably with the army as after the incident, I am not able to deal with the misconduct of police. My life was seriously impacted and I am going through therapy ever since the accused mentally traumatized me in order to stay sane. Kindly tell me any substitute of Section 66 of IT act and other sections for my case. Also, how to get help from the army as I do not know his exact unit and police is not helping.

Hi, File a complaint with the cyber police. You can also file a suit for defamation under Section 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code. Misconduct by an Army officer can be punished with termination from service under Section 19 of the Army Act. If you found this helpful, please rate us.
