    Try to compromise or else send a legal notice that u will initiate action against him under Domestic Violence Act restraining him from verbal abuses.. Sometimes fear matters.

    Legal actions will be affect your family relationships, so give him counseling through the best counseller. also send him to yoga,meditation etc.,classes . If he is not come to your expectations after that you can file a case against him under the domestic violence Act.

    Please have a word with your husband or counselling about behavioral traits and communication skills. May be it's not deliberate but ask him to work upon improvement. But if it persists then take a legal recourse when there is no alternative left.
