Correction In Name For Documentational Purposes

My fathers name has been misspelt and in some cases his father's name(as part of my fathers middle name) in docs like his expired passport, Aadhar card, Own birth cert and Children's birth cert. I wish to have his name corrected and streamlined in these various documents for migration purposes. I had drafted a comprehensive affidavit listing all documents where his name has been erroneously used but am not sure if 1) It can be used to make an affidavit and if I can have it notarized (This helps with passport and other documents); and 2) If this same affidavit can be used for central gazette notification (I am told it is not acceptable and will need a physical presence at the gazette office in Delhi for rectification when many variations in names), The Maharashtra gazette allows only for 1 old name and 1 new name// Any guidance on how to proceed is highly appreciated.
