Star Health has rejected to include my Child in Policy on account of Pre-Existing Disease. Can the company debarre a minor from giving health insurance just because he has any Pre Exiting Disease? The company should have excluded PED part from the policy and cover the child for the rest of the disease. Further, the company did this exclusion because of the mistake of the Broker who didn't disclose the PED declared by me while filling the proposal form. The whole repercussion is now borne by the Consumer that is me and my Family. Any way out (other than Ombudsman) wherein I could file a case against Broker as well as Star Health to allow my child in the policy.

hello, First check the terms of the policy regarding PED , as different companies have different terms and conditions regarding the same. Also you could complaint against the broker for misrepresentation and not disclosing the information of your child's PED to the insurance company. It was your brokers duty to disclose all the necessary information at the time of getting the insurance policy. Thanks.
