Hi, I rented a house via broker Since March 2023. The rent is 25000/per month. Deposit is 100000. All these are mentioned in agreement. Brokerage agreed was 1 month rent. I have paid all the dues on time. The broker is harassing me for last 1 month by Saying that agreed brokerage was 1.25 Lakhs (Even when the signed agreement it is mentioned that the Deposit is 1 Lakh). When I pointed this out they have sent an eviction notice over email stating that we are not responsive to their demands. Further they are asking that 1 month rent needs to be cut from the Deposit as the lock in period of 4 months has not passed along with 15 days rent for Painting Charges. All the transactions are done online, so proof is available for the same. What should I be doing? Should Is Send a legal notice to them and file complaint.

If he's not listening to you then you can always serve him a legal notice and in that notice you can write to stop all these harrassment and if the agreement has been executed then you should go according to that agreement only. You have to warn him that either take back the eviction notice or refund my whole amount with compensation or face legal action which will be at their own risk. And if you wish to go legal then you can always forward a complaint in writing to the police station of your area. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

You can also File complain against him in consumer court for deficiency in service.

You can File cheating complain against him in local police station and reply that notice through lawyer because in future he can file suit for eviction against you.
